I-270 & U.S. 40 Interchange

In 2016, the NDC was asked to explore design alternatives to create a unique and memorable gateway between Franklin and Prairie Townships, expanding on recent streetscape enhancements along West Broad Street.

The final design features acrylic and steel sculptural elements (TORK Industrial ARTifacts), additional landscaping along West Broad and within the interchange, as well as bridge lighting enhancements at I-270. The project required intensive stakeholder engagement and coordination with the Ohio Department of Transportation regarding all proposed modifications.
