YC - Program of NDC OR.png

What to know
before applying:

The deadline to apply for this year's studio internship is 11:59PM Sunday, May 10th, 2026

The application will require submission of a letter of recommendation from a non-related adult (teacher, counselor, coach, etc.) They should be able to share more about why you would be a good fit for the internship position!

Our 2026 program is a seven-week, hands-on learning experience where you'll explore design and the different career paths that are possible in the field. As an intern, you'll work with a team of your peers to design a real, built project for the site of Linden's recently renovated neighborhood library (2223 Cleveland Ave, Columbus, OH 43211). With the guidance of NDC staff, you'll bring your ideas to life, turning drawings into actual physical changes that benefit the community.

Applicants must be at least 14 years or older at the start of the program to be eligible for enrollment. Preference will be given to students attending schools within Columbus city limits. Selected applicants will be invited to participate in a 30-minute virtual interview

following the May 10th deadline.
