Columbus is My Neighborhood

Ongoing

“Columbus is my Neighborhood” is a program of the Neighborhood Design Center recognizing the everyday contributions of BIPOC community members through a digital public art display. Since 2020, the program has shed light on 37 changemakers in the local community tackling a wide range of complex issues including housing equity, domestic violence advocacy, culturally competent health literacy, food security, New American assistance, and youth enrichment.

In partnership with Orange Barrel Media, the portraits are featured in a month-long digital art campaign paired with podcast interviews (Neighbor Table Talks) and social media engagement. This platform allows NDC to raise awareness around the individuals, organizations, and activities that improve the quality of life for all within Columbus.
