3 New Interns Join the NDC Team
As the saying goes, “out with the old, in with the new!” This May, NDC welcomed three new interns to our team. These three Ohio State students join our full time staff and our two returning interns (so, not “out with the old” altogether…) Student interns give the office and our projects new energy and perspective, and we look forward to seeing what our team will accomplish in the coming year. Meet our new interns below!
PAITYN MONAGAN // LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE
Paityn studies in the Landscape Architecture undergraduate program at the Ohio State University. She has a strong interest in using her design skills to better the lives of people in communities around Columbus. In her free time, Paityn can be found drawing, eating ice cream, and watching movies.
JORDAN SCHEUERMANN // ARCHITECTURE
Jordan is an architecture student at the Ohio State University. He has a desire to use design to positively impact the people and places of the Columbus community. Jordan spends his free time hiking, biking, listening to true crime podcasts, and asking strangers to pet their dogs.
MICHELLE WILLIAMS // ARCHITECTURE
Michelle is a student in the Master of Architecture program at the Ohio State University. She has a background in social work and is passionate about using design as a tool to empower and improve underprivileged communities. Michelle loves traveling with her daughter, running and weightlifting in her free time.
We are glad to welcome back our two veteran interns, Arnold and Ling!
ARNOLD VALDEZ // CITY & REGIONAL PLANNING
Arnold is a graduate student in City and Regional Planning at the Ohio State University with a Master of Planning and an undergraduate degree in Geography. He enjoys working with spatial data and GIS, stepping out of the theoretical into the practical to work on real projects where he can make a difference. Arnold enjoys spending time with his wife Laura, is an avid biker, podcast listener, and the office’s best trivia player.
LINGHUI ZHANG // LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE
Linghui Zhang is a student in the Master of Landscape Architecture program at the Ohio State University. She enjoys researching a site’s historic value, trying to find a balance between its deep history and potential for contemporary use. Her artistic skills continue outside her classwork – in her free time, Ling paints and plays flute. Ling enjoys cute things, including her signature panda dishware .
