'Columbus is My Neighborhood' seeks to elevate exceptional neighbors

Do you know someone in your community making a difference? The Columbus is My Neighborhood project team is seeking nominations to elevate and celebrate BIPOC (black, Indigenous and people of color) Columbus natives (born or raised) committed to making their neighborhood a better place.

The project aims to highlight individuals, their stories, and their contributions to the community through social media posts and a photo-based public art piece later this year. The art piece will feature 10 individuals making strides in the following areas:

· Art · Business · Education · Environment/Sustainability · Food security · Healthcare · Housing equity · LGBTQ+ activism · Police reform · Women/gender equality

Nominees must demonstrate excellent leadership skills, exhibit initiative toward community improvement, promotes positivity, creativity, and progress, support and help others reach their goals, and enhances the Neighborhood of Columbus.

Nominations must be submitted online by Monday June 28, 2021. Visit the Columbus is my Neighborhood website to learn more and nominate a local hero!
